(ABOVE) Rachel is wearing the Bow Drape Ball Gown from Viktor&Rolf’s Mariage Collection. A soft, modern satin creates a charming take on this classic voluminous ball gown. The sweetheart bodice incorporates a generous bow that drapes down over the lavish skirt. The skirt itself features small pockets and dramatic volume thanks to a detachable underskirt. The style is finished with a majestic train flaring from the skirt.

Her veil, by Blanca Veils, is beset with fresh  scabiosa blooms and Dendrobium orchids by Berry Blossom Flowers.

Event Designer Rena Sweeney of Alchemy Events designed this dreamy ceremony setting at the gazebo at Hemingbough.

The mirror aisle is lined with lush arrangements of roses  by Berry Blossom Flowers. Pure Vintage Rental’s  Classic Walnut X-Back Chairs provide guest seating.

Events at Hemingbough often have special guests; the peacocks and peahens that call the property home, join in the events hosted on site.

For this simply elegant outdoor reception, designer Rena Sweeney of Alchemy Events selected white Alice Bentwood Chairs, Bennett Square Tables, mismatched vintage glassware and gold modern flatware from Pure Vintage Rentals.

Nüage Designs’  Blush Shelby Napkins grace each place setting and gold mirror name place cards by Quianta Treats note each guest’s  place at the table.

This charming lounge setting includes  Pure Vintage Rentals Kate Sofa,  Boho and Presley Side Tables, Caroline Chairs, Salmon Velvet Tassel Ottomans and Velvet Pillows.

The floral arrangements by Berry Blossom Flowers include hydrangea, tulips, snapdragons, bleached lunaria, stock and delphinium.

Alex is wearing the Blooming Lace Layer Dress from Viktor&Rolf’s Mariage Collection. This  short fitted dress crafted from an intricate graphic guipure floral lace featuring an illusion neckline. The short-sleeved dress boasts a detachable grosgrain waistband with delicate flat bow detailing. The detachable airy and sheer tulle skirt features a bow detail in the back. ABOUT ALCHEMY EVENT ACADEMY

In June 2021, Alchemy Events hosted a three day session of their Alchemy Event Academy at Hemingbough in St. Francisville, Louisiana. Focusing on educational workshops, networking and beautiful styled shoots, Alchemy Event Academy is all about building up others both through sharing information and collaborating to create beautiful photographs.

With so many beautiful locations at Hemingbough to choose from, Alchemy Events owner and designer, Rena Sweeney styled multiple settings showcasing the beauty of the property. Sarah Alleman of Sarah Alleman Photography and Jessica Burke, Publisher of NOW Weddings Magazine and owner of Jessica the Photographer, joined Sweeney in heading up the 3 day session, bringing their unique skills and perspectives with them.

As Sweeney was working with haute couture designers Viktor & Rolf on the fashion for this session of the Academy, she discovered they are involved with a non-profit organization,VOW for Girls, that partners with individuals, brands and the wedding industry to end the international child marriage crisis. 1 in 5 girls in the world (even in the U.S.) is married as a child so as Sweeney works with couples to make their wedding dreams come true, she also wanted to help protect the dreams of young girls who deserve to live life on their own terms. Sweeney is proud to announce that a portion of the proceeds from the Alchemy Event Academy was donated to VOW for Girls.
