REAL WEDDING:: RALPH + IDA {Something Borrowed, Something Blue}

They were neighbors, but they never said more than the occasional hello and goodbye as they crossed paths on their daily commute.

It wasn’t until a night of brief conversation that Ida knew she was going to marry Ralph. So the next day, Ida invited Ralph to her St. Patrick Day’s Party, a couple of weeks later they were dating and the rest was history.

After a short engagement, Ida and Ralph were ready to tie the knot.

With something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue, and a silver sixpence in her shoe, Ida followed every tradition on her wedding day.

She carried a handkerchief belonging to her late great-grandmother; she wore a new bridal gown; she borrowed a beautiful diamond bracelet belonging to her grandmother, who was a jeweler along with her late grandfather in Batesville, Mississippi, and her shoes were bright blue embellished with a silver brooch with, of course, a silver sixpence in her shoe for good luck.

Surrounded by love and bit of wedding luck, Ida and Ralph had a beautiful ceremony to represent their love.

“Our favorite part of our wedding day was having our family and friends from all over the country there with us to celebrate our marriage,” Ida said.
