“Caleb proposed on December 25, 2019 in Mandeville at the lakefront under the most gorgeous live oak tree called “The Belle of the Ball”,” says Virigina. “Our very first date was at the Lakefront right by the same tree and so it has always held a special place in our hearts

From the beginning of our engagement, Caleb and I both had envisioned a private, intimate setting,” shares Virginia.

“From the beginning of our engagement, Caleb and I both had envisioned a private, intimate setting,” shares Virginia. “Our original plan was to go to Tennessee in the mountains when it was cold and snowing and elope, but opted against it. We toured several venues and actually had one booked, but it just never felt totally right. With COVID and the restrictions we just decided we didn’t want to wait anymore. Our plan B was just to have a small gathering at Fontainebleau State Park and have the Justice of the Peace marry us there with our close friends and family, but about a week before we woke up one day and changed the date of the ceremony to the Thursday before, drove to the lakefront, had the officiant meet us there and we got married! A party a few days later took a lot of the extra pressure off, we were already married and it was just a fun day for us and our close families and friends to celebrate our love!”

The Saturday after Virginia and Caleb eloped, they hosted an intimate brunch reception at Fontainebleau State Park to celebrate their marriage with family and friends.
