hope + richard’s story

“We met on the dating app called Bumble,” shares Hope. “It was love at first swipe. We went on our first date that never ended. He proposed on Easter Sunday 9 months into our dating. We got married a year later in March!”

The wedding ceremony took place at St. Joseph’s Chapel at Spring Hill College with Monsignor G. Warren Wall presiding. Hope is the third generation of her family to be married at St. Joseph’s Chapel.

 

the reception

Hope’s favorite part of the day was the reception. “We had a blast with our band; the music was amazing, {and} we danced the night away all night! I never left the dance floor!”

The wedding colors were shades of pink that carried throughout the wedding from the flowers to the bridesmaid dresses to the pink and white checkered dance floor that was packed the whole evening.

Hope, a pastry chef, made her own 4-tier wedding cake.

At the end of the evening, Hope and Richard departed the wedding with a streamer exit and the happy couple spent the wedding night at The Battle House in downtown Mobile.
