Inspired by the spirit of New Orleans Carnival, this Mardi Gras wedding editorial blends bold blue details, glamorous bridal fashion, and playful accessories with the unmistakable energy of the season. Created as a tribute to the canceled 2021 Carnival season, “Carnival Blues” proves that even in uncertain times, beauty and celebration can still be found.
“When the announcement came that Mardi Gras 2021 was being cancelled, our hearts were heavy. This editorial embodies our heartbreak and is our tribute to not only the cancelled Carnival season, but also all the other weddings and events that have been cancelled, postponed or downsized due to the pandemic. We chose to photograph the editorial on location in the warehouse of Firefly Ambiance, a local decor rental company; we wanted to showcase all the celebratory settings that have been packed away while also offering a bit of hope that beauty can be found anywhere we choose to look and create it.“
