Sharonda + Joshua’s Story

Sharonda and Joshua Wilson’s Baton Rouge wedding was a stunning celebration filled with personal touches and heartfelt meaning. The couple’s story took a romantic turn during a birthday getaway to Los Angeles, where Joshua proposed in Beverly Hills Park. A guitarist serenaded Sharonda with her favorite Dirty Dancing song as candles flickered in the shape of a heart – an unforgettable moment that led to a beautiful wedding day.

Their ceremony honored family, memory, and creativity. Sharonda chose three ballerinas as flower girls, a nod to her own time as a ballerina. Her uncle, her mother’s brother, served as officiant, making the ceremony deeply personal. A symbolic locking ceremony represented their unbreakable commitment, while a special chair with a banner displayed the names of beloved relatives who had passed.

“My favorite moment,” Sharonda shares, “was when we became Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Wilson.” With the help of a visionary wedding planner, Tenisha Keller of Chocolate Bunnie Events, who brought her ideas to life, Sharonda called herself “the most relaxed bride,” fully present for a day she’ll never forget.
