about the wedding date + time

When their guests received Sara and Colin’s wedding invitation in the mail, they noticed a peculiar ceremony time, 6:02pm.

“When we originally set our wedding date, we didn’t realize we chose Mole Day as our date until a friend pointed it out,” shares Sara. “We both studied Chemical Engineering, so we had to go along with the theme and began our ceremony at 6:02 PM.”

Sara and Colin knew they wanted to get married close to one of their favorite places in New Orleans, the place they met! “We met via mutual friends at Lucy’s, our favorite bar in the city!” shares Sara. “Of course we had to celebrate our after party at Lucy’s, which is one of the reasons we chose our venue location.”

The couple chose The Gallery Venue at Tomas Bistro on Tchoupitoulas Street, just a short walk from Lucy’s.

“We took a few lessons with an instructor to perfect our first dance to the song “The Bones” by Maren Morris. We were nervous, but once the song started playing it felt like it was just the two of us on the dance floor. It was so much fun getting to show off our new skills to all of our loved ones!”

The wedding cake was a three tier textured confection with simple greenery and a laser-cut cake topper featuring reading “The Cuzmans”.
