Heath met Halee online while she was living in Birmingham. It’s quite the funny story because she was upfront with him telling him she didn’t even mean to meet anyone. 

Sure enough Heath was persistent and courted Halee for quite some time as a friend until he built up the courage to ask her to be his girlfriend. He then selflessly followed her to Mobile where she could attend grad school!

He then selflessly followed her to Mobile where she could attend grad school! Heath proposed to Halee at the Roosevelt hotel in New Orleans because a family tradition of hers each year was visiting the hotels to see the decor.
