“We met in college on our first day,” shares Jordan. “A mutual friend introduced us and we learned that we were born on the same exact day and year!”

Jordan looked stunning in her Badgley Mischka wedding gown. Her bridesmaids’ wore dusty blue Jenny Yoo gowns in varying styles.

the first look

“My favorite part of my day was the first look,” says Jordan. “It was so special to us and I was so glad we decided to do a first look! It took away all of our pre-wedding jitters and we were able to enjoy more time with each other and were able to get the best pictures on the roof top of the NOPSI Hotel with a view of the city skyline in the background!”

worth the wait

“We were originally supposed to get married Saturday March 21, 2020,” shares Jordan, “but unfortunately had to cancel on that Monday, March 16, 2020 due to the state shutting down for a COVID lockdown.”

Jordan and Tyler were devastated that their wedding couldn’t happen as planned, but since they had no other options, they chose to reschedule for later in 2020. “We reached out to all vendors and moved it to October 23, 2020,” says Jordan, noting that the new date was her parents’ wedding anniversary.

“In July of 2020 we were advised to move the date again if we wanted to have the wedding we originally planned, so we then decided to move it to June 4th, 2021,” says Jordan. “Thankfully after a 30 month engagement we were able to finally tie the knot on June 4th, 2021 with the original wedding we planned with all vendors in attendance. Therefore we had the hashtag #ThirdTimesTheCharm after 3 wedding dates we finally did it and it was worth the wait!”

Jordan and Tyler hosted their wedding reception in the Dryades ballroom of the NOPSI Hotel in New Orleans. The reception featured live music and a visit from Cafe Du Monde’s beignet truck!
