the proposal
Kyle, a football coach, had planned the perfect proposal for the week between Christmas and New Years, when 2 weeks prior, his team got placed in a bowl game that would force him to postpone his plan until after the New Year.
“After his game in Mobile, we woke up the next morning and got on the road headed to our ‘postseason getaway’ to our favorite place to visit,” shares Kayla.
The couple arrived at their carriage house in Rosemary Beach with plenty of time to watch the sunset on the beach and enjoy an early dinner. “There is absolutely nothing we love more than catching a sunset on the beach,” says Kayla.
“After checking in…we walked down Main Street and past the Pearl on our way to the beach access.” Unbeknownst to Kayla, Kyle had hired photographers to capture every moment as they arrived on the beach. “We began walking hand in hand,” says Kayla. “I had no idea what was about to take place. Down about 100 yards away we “stumbled” upon seashells in the shape of a heart in the sand. Here, he got down on one knee and asked me the question every girl dreams of.”
Kyle had also invited their families who watched everything from their hiding place behind one of the beach access walkovers. “The best part about this whole thing was that without me knowing, he thought out every detail including having our families there to celebrate the most amazing day of our lives,” shares Kayla.

Kayla and Kyle said “I do” at Gulf Green in Alys Beach, Florida with 80 of their closest family and friends looking on.

the wedding reception
The couple hosted a beautiful wedding reception at Eastern Green in Rosemary Beach, Florida. Guests were treated to gourmet food, cocktails and live music from the band Az-izz.

the wedding cake
The wedding cake included a butterfly motif to honor Kayla’s grandfather.
the groom’s cake
The groom’s cake, designed to look like a Yeti Cooler filled with beer, was Kayla’s gift to Kyle.
