DICKIE BRENNAN & CO.
4 Generations of Culinary Excellence
We bring the culinary and hospitality expertise from our award-winning French Quarter restaurants to you. Our catering team draws on a multi-generational heritage of culinary excellence to create customized and unforgettable experiences. We carry our passion for restaurant-quality service and hospitality to your table. New Orleans is central in everything that we do, from the ingredients we use from local purveyors to the techniques we apply to prepare them. Dickie Brennan & Co. Catering looks forward to making your event truly special.
Since 1943 and touching four generations, Dickie Brennan & Co. and the Brennan family has hosted celebrations of all types in their French Quarter restaurants. Now, there is the option to bring the food and hospitality you have come to love and expect to you through their catering division.
Know that when you select us as your New Orleans caterer, you are getting the knowledge and expertise behind four critically acclaimed restaurants:
Palace Café:
The Dickie Brennan family of restaurants began in 1991 with the opening of Palace Café. This classic New Orleans restaurant, located at the foot of the French Quarter, serves contemporary Creole food in an upbeat and lively grand café. The restaurant, housed in the historic Werlein Music building is committed to evolving Creole dishes and creating new favorites. Standouts include the crabmeat cheesecake, andouille crusted fish and white chocolate bread pudding. Palace Café serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily and offers a weekend Jazz Brunch.
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse:
Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse opened in 1998 and today features straightforward steaks with a New Orleans touch. At Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse, we tap into the Brennan family’s 60 years of expertise in the art of beef preparation. That’s why we grill our chops, sear our strips, and broil our filets. The same level of detail extends to the service; guests experience a grand dining experience with all the hospitality for which New Orleans is known. Because of this, discerning locals, as well as national publications have taken note. Travel & Leisure named it one of the “Best Steakhouses in the U.S.”, while USA Today praised its “mouth-watering steaks with an unusual twist.” Dickie Brennan’s Steakhouse is open for dinner nightly.
Bourbon House:
Bourbon House, New Orleans’ premier oyster bar and seafood restaurant is all about local seafood, if it’s not in season, you won’t find it on our menu. The restaurant boasts a lively atmosphere with huge picture windows overlooking Bourbon Street. Guests are invited to enjoy an incredible menu of classic New Orleans dishes complemented by new favorites or to relish on fresh Gulf oysters at the oyster bar. Bourbon House is more than just a name – the restaurant has been honored as one of America’s top bourbon bars. No doubt it’s famous frozen bourbon milk punch and extensive and impressive list of small batch and single barrel bourbons had something to do with this honor. It is also home to the famed New Orleans Bourbon Society. Bourbon House is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Tableau:
Located on Jackson Square next to New Orleans’ most historic playhouse, Le Petit Theatre; Tableau is in the heart of the French Quarter. Tableau showcases regional ingredients and classic Creole dishes revisited. Our chef team celebrates the historical components of Creole cuisine and builds dishes based on their authentic roots. With Creole cuisine blending flavors from many regions around the world including the Caribbean, France, Spain, Portugal, and the Ivory Coast, Tableau’s dishes reflect a wide variety of flavors and influences combined with a modern approach. Upon opening, Tableau was selected by the Times-Picayune “one of the Best New Restaurants in New Orleans.” Tableau offers a variety of dining ambiances from the lush courtyard, and main dining room, to the Drawing Room lounge and our sweeping balcony overlooking Jackson Square. Tableau is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner with a Brass Band Brunch on Saturdays and Sundays.
