elizabeth + dominic’s story

Elizabeth Schott and Dominic Rodriguez’s love story started with a cup of coffee – specifically, a double espresso with one Sweet & Low. Lizzie was Dom’s barista at a Barnes & Noble Starbucks in Austin, TX, where he was a regular. Though their connection began then, it wasn’t until years later, after a move to Fort Worth and a coffee date following Lizzie’s nieces’ birthday party, that the timing aligned and their relationship began. Dom now makes Lizzie’s coffee every day.

Dom proposed during a birthday trip to Seattle while hiking in Olympic National Park. A near-spoiler text and a few wrong turns made the surprise even more memorable. Their wedding day brought together beloved family and meaningful touches. Lizzie’s twin nieces, Mae and Willa, were flower girls, and her sister-in-law Audrey served as maid of honor. Dom wore a pin inside his tux in memory of his late father, a gift from his sister Gabby. Their deaf dog was celebrated in spirit with personalized cocktail stirrers.

For the after party, the couple turned the parlor in the Elms Mansion into a Pat O’Brien’s piano bar complete with pianists from Pat O’s and taquitos, the day was a joyful blend of Texas heart and Crescent City soul.
